Homecoming comes to Peninsula
Looking out over the amphitheater, it is hard to believe that it has already been a year since Peninsula’s Disney-themed Homecoming. Students anticipate what the theme will be this year as ASB continues the tradition of keeping it a secret. With a jam-packed schedule of class competitions and the Homecoming carnival, students anxiously wait for the Monday to come.
“I’m looking forward to the Homecoming carnival because it encourages school spirit and I love to see the school coming together as one body,” junior Katie Cha said.
This year, homecoming will be run differently in terms of buying food at the carnival; students need to buy tickets beforehand and will solely use those when purchasing food. To top off the Friday, Peninsula will play against Leuzinger and conclude the evening with the Homecoming dance.
“I cannot wait to see what all the different activities and clubs have to offer at the carnival,” junior Darren Lim said.
Teachers and students alike gear up for this week full of activities as the ASB is constantly working on the decorations. With the ASB finalizing its decorations around the campus, students can potentially have the opportunity to get a sneak peak at this years’ theme.
“I am curious to see what creative ideas our ASB came up with to top last years’ Disneyland theme,” Lim said.
