Eighth Grade Open House
It’s that night again, when Peninsula’s campus is swarmed by tons of eighth graders from nearby middle schools eager to see what Peninsula is all about.
The Open House starting at 5 p.m, 8th graders traveled from classroom to classroom. They were given the chance to experience activities done in different classrooms. Those in Physiology and Anatomy gave their first try at an eye dissection, while those who visited Chemistry left eating fried chicken.
“There’s a lot of variety of interesting courses, and the teachers are really nice,” said Ridgecrest eighth grader Kaitlan Shim.
During the Open House, Panthers were represented by Co-ed Choreo, Marching Band, Varsity Cheer, Varsity Song, Video Production and ASB.
“I was really amazed by the school spirit Peninsula has. It makes you feel excited to be a part of something like this,” Ridgecrest eighth grader Daniel Park said.
8th graders are in the midst of making their choices for high school. Although making th decision can be difficult, previous eighth graders have good things to say.
“Peninsula attracted me, because there is an equal balance between academics and sports. I’m glad that I chose Peninsula and now I can be one of the freshmen telling 8th graders about my fun year at Peninsula,” Freshman Jenny Lee said.
